So, You Are Getting Older

Getting older doesn’t mean you put a sack on your head when you go out so no one can see the lines in your face. It doesn’t mean you take your spot in your recliner and never participate in the world around you. It means you are (wait for it) getting older. Plain and simply adding a new number to your age. That’s it! Along with that can come some extra things you must deal with in your body, but you just deal with them.
An eagle goes through a process called “molting” where it sheds feathers with new ones coming back in its place (this is why the Bible refers to youth being renewed like an eagle). How cool to know that God wants to fill my life with good things and to renew my youth. We “don’t molt” like the eagle does, (even though we shed skin cells) but He wants us to be healthy and well and at our best. Earlier in this chapter it says, “May we never forget the good things He does for us, and he heals all our diseases.
Keep a positive attitude in your life. The gloom and doom thinking will only make those lines a little bit deeper.

Psalm 103:5 NLT
[5] He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle's!
