But What If I Step Out and Fail?

We all have the “what-ifs” that we deal with when it comes to doing things that we’ve never done or thought about before. We are afraid of failure. That is simply the devil putting doubt in your mind. I don’t know about you, but I do NOT want to give the devil any place or authority in my life.
Jesus told Peter to come, and he did. He actually stepped out in faith and walked on water. It wasn’t until he took his eyes off of Jesus and focused on his surroundings that things went south. But Jesus was right there and pulled him out of his situation when Peter needed Him.
So, the answer to our "what-if” question today is, “step out even if it’s scary.” Keep your eyes on Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith. If there is any type of failure, He is right there to help you.
He’s not asking you to “walk on water”. He is desiring for you to exercise your faith in any and all things you face or are going through. Let the Holy Spirit that lives within you, guide you in all things…big or small.
Matthew 14:29 NLT
[29] "Yes, come," Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.
