Powered Through

It is that time of year when we will be hearing mowers fire up and begin their weekly task of trimming the grass. Some look forward to that nicely mown lawn and the smell that accompanies it. I know I do. But they don’t mow themselves, right? It takes the power of someone to push or ride the powered mower. However you go about it, it takes the strength of an individual to power up and geter’ done.
When we go through tough periods in our lives, we must have the strength to “power through” whatever we are facing. What we begin to realize as we go "through” it, we are stronger than we ever imagined.
As a Christian, if you are not utilizing the power of God that is available to you, you are making things way harder than they should be. This means you are trying to do it all on your own, when that is not necessary. God is your shield and strength and is ready to break away anything that is weighing you down.
It reminds me of a chorus most of you will be familiar with, “There is power in the name of Jesus To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain”
What chains are you still dealing with that the power of Jesus could help you break? Speak His name over every situation and chain in your life. Let His strength flow through you.
Psalm 28:7 ERV
[7] The LORD is my strength and shield. I trusted him with all my heart. He helped me, so I am happy. I sing songs of praise to him.
