Little is Much

My mom used to sing a solo of a song that really nails what I want you to understand today.

“Does the place you're called to labor

Seem so small and little known?

Well, it is great if God is in it

And He will not forsake His own

Little is much when God is in it.”

We all struggle with feeling like we are not enough. We “think” that because what we have to offer (on the surface) would not help a situation, we just sit back and don’t even try. Let’s get past that. We ALL have “something”, be it ever so small, to contribute.

When we are faithful to do those small things, we are set up to see God work in those to multiply them into something to behold. The young boy in today’s scripture offered up his “little” lunch, meant for one person, and Jesus blessed it which then fed over 5,000 with basketfuls of food left over. Wow!!

Be faithful in doing those small things and see how they become a strong foundation for amazing things. It may seem little, but it is much when God is in it. He is ready and willing to do do for you what He did for the young boy and the 5,000.

John 6:9-11 NLT

[9] "There's a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?" [10] "Tell everyone to sit down," Jesus said. So they all sat down on the grassy slopes. (The men alone numbered about 5,000.) [11] Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
