Keep on Shining

I’ve heard stories about adults who never amounted to much in their lives and can trace it back to being made to feel as though nothing they did ever quite measured up to preset standards. A lot of kids were never affirmed that they were important, in some cases, just the opposite was related.
This breaks my heart as a mom. Knowing that at least one person in your life thinks you are special, and can accomplish anything, is a powerful foundation to build a life on and give the needed confidence in yourself.
We, as adults, are never free of criticism and confidence stealing people. Some folks just take delight in bringing someone down to their level of stinkin’ thinkin’. I say ignore the naysayers and hypocrites and get on with your fabulous life.
Let them think what they may, they thrive on negativity, but you don’t have to be a part of their circus. Having Gods light shining through you, gives you reason to be who you are without having to say a word. If you do need to say anything, your words should be positive and life affirming to those whom you are with and especially to those you are closest.
2 Corinthians 4:5-6 GNT
[5] For it is not ourselves that we preach; we preach Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. [6] The God who said, "Out of darkness the light shall shine!" is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God's glory shining in the face of Christ. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
