Give It Up

Being a person who loves her “ducks all in a row”, it can be tough sometimes to let stuff go. But you have to learn to never dwell on things that you have already committed to the Lord.
I recently had a certified letter come to me from the Missouri Department of Revenue indicating that I “supposedly” owed them close to $3,000 in taxes and late fees for the year 2022. The only problem with this is that I didn’t even live in this state until 2023. I felt my insides start to panic and thought “great, now I have to deal with the government”.
So, I fretted for a day or two and then my senses kicked in. “Just deal with it and let it go; you have the Lord on your side to help fight your battles!” I sent the Government an email and when I didn’t hear back as soon as “I thought” I should, I sent them a handwritten letter as well. I then totally gave it up into the Lord’s capable hands. He would fight this battle in my stead. He did as promised and took it from there. I received an email last night from MD of R informing me that they corrected their records and my balance owed is $0. Praise the Lord.
My point today is simple. We try to do so many things without even consulting the Lord, that we are causing ourselves undue stress and anxiety. We have to keep in mind… it is the Lord who directs our steps…but only when we let Him. He wants to be a part of every detail of our lives.
Psalm 37:23 NLT
[23] The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
