Cause and Effect

For those of you that have no idea of how this “cause and effect” thing works. I googled it for ya.
•Cause: The reason why something happens. It always happens first.
•Effect: The result or consequence of that action. It happens after the cause.
Now let’s think about how your tongue (what you say) is directly connected to this. If you say things about someone and another someone hears those things and in turn says them to someone else … you’ve got a mess. The cause was what was said. The effect was a mess.
What if the negative things you say are to yourself about you? (Your abilities, your health, your life) What do you suppose the cause and effect would be for that? Many of you already know because you are participating in this sort of thing all the time.
The Bible tells us we reap the consequences for the things we say. Keep that in mind as you go throughout your day.
Guard that tongue and say what you know to be true and right when mentioning other folks in your conversation or say nothing.
When it comes to how you talk about yourself … say only what the Bible says. Be like Jesus when He said, “I say only what I have heard from the one who sent me, and he is completely truthful."
Proverbs 18:21 NLT
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailylife
