Be Real

Don’t ya just hate it when someone is not real? They come at you with no sincerity whatsoever and expect you to believe what they are saying. They believe for some reason that everyone they come in contact with is a gullible fool. They, in some cases, have started believing their own fake way of living and lies. It really makes me sad for them. I would think coming out of that type of life would be more difficult than most things…unless…

…They accept the gift that is given to them from the Father. They learn to walk in the truths that are found in His word.

David learned this and shared that knowledge with us in Psalms 119. He made a conscious decision to walk in obedience to the Word. This wasn’t something that was awful for him. He actually says God’s Word is sweeter than honey. It gives him understanding on how to be that real genuine person God created him to be. He allowed the Word to be a lamp for his feet and a light for his path.

I don’t know about you, but I always want to be a “what you see is what you get” kind of gal. If what you see is hateful and not true to God’s word, it means I have gotten out of line with the scriptures and need to renew my life to Him.

David got out of line at a point in his life and had to do things differently. His change of course was so real that he was later referred to as “a man after God’s own heart”.

I’ll take that kind of real any day over someone pretending to be a good Christian.
