Work It Out

I wasn’t planning on heading in this direction this morning, but the words to an old Beatles song kept popping up in my head.
“Life is very short, and there's no time. For fussing and fighting, my friend. I have always thought that it's a crime. So, I will ask you once again. Try to see it my way. Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong. We can work it out. We can work it out.”
We can look at our mess of a life with broken relationships and craziness and think, “well this is a mess nobody wants” OR we can ask, “could this be something God could work with?” Most of us get stuck in the problem and don’t even realize a solution could be just around the corner.
I guess my first question to you would be, “Do you love God?” The answer to that is important in getting past the “mess” that you see in your life at the present time. The Word tells us that God works everything to OUR good when we love Him. But there is more to it than just “loving God”. We can’t stop there…we must see the verse in its entirety.
My second question would be, “are you following His purpose for your life?” Therein lies the difference. If we think we can just sit back and say we love God, but twiddle our thumbs in inaction, we are fooling ourselves. It took action to make the mess; it takes action to fix it. The difference is, you have God on your side and by your side every step of the way.
If you are in the midst of a mess and you want it worked out, this is a “God and you” thing. He is ready to “cause everything” (not just some things) to work out for your good. First love Him with all that is within you and find out what His will is for your life and “do it”.
It’s time to see things His way and things will work out.
Romans 8:28 NLT
[28] And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
