Strength in the Calm

So much in life depends on how we react to it. A roadblock comes up, and our first reaction is just to turn around and forget about it.
There is purpose in the journey … never forget that. So instead of turning around, find a different path to the destination. It may be that during that path; the Lord will be able to give you wisdom you never even knew you needed.
Our part in life is to find Gods will and just do it. When the battles show up, we don’t have to “battle it out” alone. As a matter of fact, we are to allow the Lord to fight for us while we stay calm.
It is that “staying calm” part that we stay tripped up over. It’s as if we want no part in it.
Listen to what it says in Isaiah 30:15 “This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.” Whoa! That last sentence should hit us. “You would have none of it”.
We could have the strength of quietness and confidence in anything we face, IF we rest in His will and promises.
