Who You Hang with Matters

“I’m just hanging with the cool people; I’m not doing what they are doing! What they do won’t affect me! I’m a strong born-again Christian.”

Don’t fool yourself. The more you “hang” with those that do not share your values, the more their habits and immoral behavior will affect you. Take yourself out of that situation. Be an example of God when you are around them, but don’t “hang” around with them.

New Christians need to especially be aware of being drawn back into what they prayed God would deliver them from. Even if it means losing a friend or two to take that stand, do it. He has better for you.

Don’t ruin your character by hanging with the wrong crowd.
