I saw an anonymous quote that says it all, “You don’t have to attend every argument that you are invited to.” Boy! Ain’t that the truth? Life could be so much better for folks if they could learn this very thing.

The Bible clearly states for us to stay away from arguments, especially those that are stupid.

You can never “win” an argument with someone that thinks they are always right. It just ends up being a lot of voice raising and name calling. Sometimes bringing up past failures to the point of hurting someone. Nothing God honoring in that situation.

Now I will say this. There is a definite difference between discussing and arguing. When you discuss something, it is not about winning or losing, it is about finding what is true. I say this with a caveat. You have to be careful not to allow your discussion to turn into a silly argument. Things can escalate quicker than you may think.

Know when to walk away. Don’t allow yourself to fall into a trap of arguing.

2 Timothy 2:23 ERV

[23] Stay away from foolish and stupid arguments. You know that these arguments grow into bigger arguments. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
