Soothing Comfort from God

Just typing that title for today’s devotion was calming for me. Soothing - calming - comfort. Doesn’t the sound of that rolling off your tongue or spinning around in your mind give you calm assurance of God’s presence? He never invades or pushes himself on anyone. He is always present and available for everything we need. He “supplies all our needs” according to His riches in glory. I’m thinking those “riches in glory” are pretty darn awesome. What do you think?

As a friend or family member to someone that is having a difficult time, your presence can supply just what they need. You don’t have to have all the answers. Sitting beside them and loving them is more important than saying a bunch of “words”.

Many times, our thoughts become chaotic and out of control. We need calmness, not more sermons. We need someone to just “be there”. We need to be reminded (in a gentle way) that “this too shall pass”.

Psalm 94:19 TPT

Whenever my busy thoughts were out of control, the soothing comfort of your presence calmed me down and overwhelmed me with delight. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
