Rise and Shine, Every Single Day

All scriptures in the Bible can be used as an amazing guide for your life. I like to make them personal by inserting my name as if they were written just for me. (They were written for me and you). You should try it.
So, for today’s verse, “Arise Paula! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you.” Which reminds me of the words to that song from Bible School, “Rise and shine and give God the glory, children of the Lord.” Great advice we were singing back then.
If my purpose in the morning is to get up and just trudge along through my day, then that will pretty much sum up how my day is gonna go. I will forget all the benefits that come from having that personal relationship with Jesus.
But if I rise with the purpose of letting the light of Jesus shine through me in all I do, things will go differently. I love that when I do this, the “glory of the Lord rises to meet me” and walk out this day with me. I am never alone in this journey.
As you make this a daily occurrence, others will see the light of Jesus in you and be drawn to you…to your smile, to your down-to-earth genuineness and to the way you walk with integrity. Any criticism that my come your way is met with an undeniable truth. “(Insert your name) is definitely a good person. She knows it is not her goodness, but the Lord shining through her. Her life is a testimony of Gods goodness!”
Pretty powerful statement. Let’s live it out.
Isaiah 60:1 NLT
[1] "Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the LORD rises to shine on you.
