My Jesus I Love You

When I was looking at this picture this morning, it reminded me of how much I really love my Jesus for all He’s done for me in my life. We sometimes just talk about it so casually, the intensity of what He went through for us becomes lessened somehow. The very fact that He did it FOR US is amazing.

So today I want to share the second verse of “My Jesus, I Love Thee” as a reminder for us all.

“I love thee because thou hast first loved me

and purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree;

I love thee for wearing the thorns on thy brow;

if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.”

He went through the flogging, the humiliation and death on the cross for you and me.

We can also celebrate the fact that He didn’t remain in that grave. Those of you that have believed and accepted what Jesus did for you … you too have that hope that death is not the “end of your story”.
