Looking Beyond What We See

You may have gotten tired of hearing, “This too shall pass!”, but it needs to be said when you are in the middle of a crisis too big for you at the present moment. You have to have hope that what you are facing is temporary; you have to know and rely on Jesus, or you will not have the patience needed to get through it. You need to learn to give it to Jesus.
This is where my “go-to” scriptures are so important in my life. Psalm 27:13-14
“Yet I am confident I will see the LORD's goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.”
There have been times in my life where these 2 verses were an honest to goodness lifeline for me. If I hadn’t had faith that the Lord was gonna see me through that heart breaking time in my life, my hope in my future would not only fail, but my present would have been unbearable. But God…
We all have to look beyond what we are now seeing and realize these troubles will soon be gone. In the meantime, fix your gaze on Jesus (your Savior and Lord) and place your confidence in Him and the power that is within you. It’s there. Access it and kick those troubles to kingdom come. “Greater is He that is in you” than whatever trouble you are facing now.
I heard a pastor say one time, “I not only don’t let the ‘stuff’ worry me; I don’t give it a second thought.” Him being a pastor doesn’t make him immune to burdens. He has learned the truth of “taking His burdens to the Lord and LEAVING them there”. He doesn’t take those things back; he left them with the Lord. He sees his future as bright not burdened down with trouble.
2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT
[18] So we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
