We complicate everything and then roam around wondering, “what should I do next to please God?” We have to get to a point where we can live a quiet and peaceful existence knowing we all matter. Not because we are such great humans, but because God is a great God.
He has shown us over and over in His Word, how to live a good life. The requirements are really simple. Treat others right and good. Be merciful in how you interact with people and make sure they feel respected. Stay humble.
The message bible says it this way “Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, and don’t take yourself too seriously— take God seriously.”
First and foremost is knowing that you have confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior. Then…take this simple advice from the book of Micah and apply it to your life. Quit complicating it and complaining that living right is just too difficult. The requirements are simple, “live with justice, mercy and humility.”
Micah 6:8 NKJV
[8] He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
