Let's Get Real

When you do things, what is your motive? That question may seem insignificant to you, but it is not. More times than not we need to check ourselves in the course of the day.

Are we trying to “appear” to be more spiritual than we really are? Do we try to “outshine” others with our “spirituality”? Let’s get real with ourselves, shall we? The selfishness that comes with this type of attitude is a huge stumbling block that will trip you up even when you “think” you “sound” sincere.

Check your heart folks.

Your focus should always be on “outgrowing” who you used to be before you met Jesus. It DOESN’T mean trying to appear better than others. If it means giving up that “all about me” mentality, do it.

Look at the person in the mirror and make a change that reflects the Jesus you say you love. Consider what others are facing and going through before yourself.

Let’s get real with ourselves and genuinely love others. That’s how it should be done.
