In God We Trust

The words "In God We Trust" on the back of a coin gives me a certain amount of pride. Then I think about how things are in our country right now, and my pride is short-lived. Not that I don't believe that we are a country founded on Christian principles, but that there are so many that have decided to try and destroy all that America stands for.

What do we as Christians do when the country we love is being attacked on the daily? Do we pray for our nation? Absolutely yes! But we should take it a step further. We do our civic duty and vote. Yes, we vote, but not only that. We encourage others to study the platforms of the Democrats and Republicans and to also vote. I am convinced that if people will truly look at the facts, they should be able to vote their conscience. If they truly trust in God and want the best for our nation, they will vote correctly (unless they let their stubbornness be a factor)

Ps 91:2 I will say of the Lord, He is my strength and my fortress, my God. In Him I will trust.
