Do You Really Want to Make a Change?

Every action you take starts with a thought in your head. It doesn’t matter what it is…it starts in your “noggin”. That is why when you are wanting a change of any sort in your life, you HAVE TO get your thinking on it right.
I am going to go in the direction of health, wellness and weight loss for today’s devotion. Is that an area that you are seriously wanting a change made starting in the new year? It CAN happen. I am proof of it. I am not talking about a change that happens for let’s say, six months and then you “fall off the wagon" and go right back to being a glutton (which was my problem for years). I know that the word “glutton” sounds harsh, but I am being straight up honest with you.
I am talking about change that will be a positive change for the rest of your life. You have to change the way you think about food and your health. I might say here, just because you are skinny doesn’t mean you are healthy. But I have never met a person with a huge weight problem that didn’t have a physical issue of some sort. They usually excuse it in some way and keep on eating a LOT of unhealthy foods.
Many of us are “food addicts” … that is why I used the term “fall off the wagon”. I don’t use that term lightly. If we don’t get our thinking clear on food, we will never be successful in making that needed change for the new year and beyond. Just as an alcoholic can’t let alcohol touch their lips, "foodaholics” can’t eat anything and everything just because it tastes good and used to be “comfort food”.
So, ask yourself, “Do I really want to make a change this year?” If you do, make that change in your headfirst, then go from there. I will be your biggest cheerleader

Romans 12:2 KJV
[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
