Your Value

What an important topic, yet one that is not understood like it should be.

Depending on when you grew up and how you were raised, the value you place on you and your status in life is determined. Meaning it either makes you better or it causes you to carry on with wrong decisions. Do you make decisions that cause you to get in debt up to your eyeballs because you are determined that you will not live in poverty or the appearance of poverty? On the other hand, are your decisions such as you will continue to stay in poverty because “if it was good enough for my parents, then it’s good enough for me”?

Both of those are not good decisions, because you are basing your value on external circumstances. Your very first step in life is to get your act together with Jesus. Your value should come from His presence in your life. You want to please Him more than anything else this world (or the folks in the world) can offer.

The scripture today helps us see that what you pursue, respect and admire the most is a reflection of what is most important to you. Find your value, not in things … find it in Him.

Matthew 6:21 TPT

For your heart will always pursue what you esteem as your treasure. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
