You've Got the Power

t cost you nothing to be kind. But being kind to someone else could mean everything to them.

We sing, “God is so good, God is so good. God is so good, He’s so good to me.” Then we turn around and forget about those that need God’s goodness. You’ve got the power of God’s love, kindness and forgiveness within you. Are ya using that power in the right way?
A side of my husband, Bobby, that many do not see is his heart. He has one of the most tender hearts around. He wants good for everyone and actually cries when he sees the kindness of others. That quality is not always easy to maneuver in the world we live in but is definitely needed. I encourage him all the time to let that side show to others.
The world needs us to use God’s power to help others. I am not talking about “handouts” (although there are instances where even that is needed). The most valuable investment in the happiness of most people is time. Time on the phone just listening without judgement. Time taking them to lunch, no agendas…just a relaxing meal. Time to go pick them up and go for a ride to anywhere. Time on a zoom call and cup of coffee. Time to really get to know who they are.
Give of yourself and don’t be surprised if you are blessed in the process.
Ephesians 4:32 NLT
[32] Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
