Kojak. Who remembers Kojak? He was a bald, lollipop-sucking New York detective. “Who loves ya baby” was a phrase he made popular.
I am using that phrase today to make a point to those that find themselves in a downward mental state. They have been sad for such a long time; they don’t remember how to be happy.

They “feel as if nobody loves them or cares and prove it by shutting themselves off from others. They have lost all hope in their lives and loved ones. They cry because their sorrow comes from a deep ache or hurt that they are having difficulty healing.
What they are needing is not to be made to feel their hopelessness is justified. They need to see (even a glimmer) of hope. As the old song says, we need to remind them to “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus”.
Quit looking at the things that are so unfair and start looking at the absolutely wonderful love that is found in Jesus. His love has made you a conqueror not a defeated nervous wreck. Help them find strength in believing in what He can do through them. Give them hope and encouragement.
