Who Do You Hear?

As a young mother raising her boys, I knew that from just babies, these little guys recognized my voice and trusted that I loved them and cared for their needs. They didn’t have to sit and wonder if I was going to feed them or be the top advocate for their life. I loved them (still do) and nothing would ever change that. I was on their side in their life.

My presence at the important moments in their lives was so powerful. The times that I was not there was also powerful. They were sad and, in some ways, even though I didn’t care. No matter how you spin it, what the person hears in their mind or what they are told by others is the truth at the moment for them. It is up to us to make sure that they have no doubt that we will never ever desert them. Even if it seems as though they may have deserted you, you are still constant in your love for them.

It’s important that your words are ALWAYS trustworthy. If they haven’t been in the past, change that and regain the trust you have lost. (which can be tough)

Here are some possible steps to restore lost trust.

*We first of all listen to the right voices.

*We hold on to our hope in God without doubt or confusion.

*We develop the ability to speak only good and affirmative things.

*We stay away from condemnation of others AND ourselves

*We keep our promises and don’t make promises we can’t keep.

*We become the trustworthy person we want to see in others.

Hebrews 10:23 NLT

[23] Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
