When You Are Feeling Lonely

Today is the day in November we celebrate our thankfulness for the blessings we have and are yet to experience. The Macy Thanksgiving Parade is on the TV along with my Turkey in the oven filling my home with that familiar aroma. These things bring back all kinds of memories.
Everyone has different traditions, but most include eating way too much, football and spending precious time with family. Learning to be thankful every day is the key to happiness. It will make Thanksgiving Day even more special.
Reminder to all of us…not everyone is going in to today seeing their memories the way they used to see them. Life has been unkind. Quit seeing these people as losers who deserve what they get. Give them the grace they need to be and do better.
Not everyone gets to spend time with their friends and family. Going through the dips of loss really makes it difficult for them to see the blessings for the sadness.
If that is you today, please know that God's grace is sufficient for all you face. Even if you feel as though you are alone, you are never totally alone with God by your side. Believe me when I say, “I’ve been there!”
Look for those blessings in the middle of it all and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
