You may be saying one thing, but in your mind, you’re thinking an entirely different thing. Does that really matter? Well, hmmm. I am gonna have to say yes and no. Here’s why…

On one hand, if someone is overweight and, in your head, you are saying, “Whoa! That gal could lose some major poundage!” You wouldn’t blurt that out, now, would ya? How hurtful! You should never want to hurt someone by your words.

On the other hand, if you meet that same person, and see someone that God loves, you will respond differently. When you love people the way God loves them, you shouldn’t be guilty of being abusive in your thoughts or what you say.

Allow the Holy Spirt to so permeate your life and thoughts that if you were to say what is on your mind it would always be pleasing to God. If you are a Christian but are still being taken over by a sinful thought pattern and life, that is just wrong.

To receive life and peace requires right thinking. “Whatever is pure, think on these things”. I love it!!

Romans 8:5-6 NLT

[5] Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. [6] So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
