Guys, imagine for a second you are engaged. Then out of nowhere, the gal you are gonna marry comes to you with the news that she is pregnant, and you KNOW that it can’t be your baby. That has to be a tough one for any man to face.

In Joseph’s case, he was going to break the engagement quietly. He thought (as a righteous man) that would be the best way to deal with this “embarrassing” situation. He didn’t want her to be disgraced publicly.

As he thought about this place, he found himself in, an angel of the Lord came to him with a message he needed to hear. It started out the same as with Zechariah and Mary’s angelic visit. “Do not be afraid”.

He was told not to be afraid to go through with his marriage to Mary. The angel went on to explain why this was the right thing to do.

His beloved Mary was carrying the one that had been promised to the world many years ago. The son would be named Jesus and would save people from their sins. He was the promised “Immanuel” which means “God is with us”.

Wow! Well Joseph, what are you gonna do with that? As we all know, he did as the angel had commanded and took Mary as his wife and she remained a virgin until after the birth.

Any fear that had been preventing him from seeing Gods plan for he and Mary dissipated when he listened to the message from God through the angel. He and Mary would be the earthly parents of Jesus, a really big assignment. They were willing to take it on.

We should never allow fear to keep us from having what is meant to be ours in life. It could be really big. Listen up and be ready to go for it.

Matthew 1:20 KJV

[20] But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
