Want a Good and Peaceful Life?

You are probably thinking, “What a silly question!” Of course, I want a good life, who doesn’t? True, but my next question is, “Are you willing do what it takes to have one?”

In our main verse today, Paul says it better than I can.

*Think about good and worthy things

       •truth

       •honor

       •right

       •pure

       •beauty

       •respect

Sounds as if that is not such a difficult thing to do. ... But we’ve proven time and again we have a problem following through with those things. Our minds can be tricky, and if we don’t rein them in, we have a tendency to think all sorts of things that are not beneficial to us.

The next verse Paul gives us a reminder. “Put into practice what you have learned “. You can “know” all kinds of stuff, but if you don’t put “what you know” into practice, what good is it to you?

Philippians 4:8 ERV

Brothers and sisters, continue to think about what is good and worthy of praise. Think about what is true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
