Turn the Tables with Joy

When the Bible says, “the joy of the Lord is your strength”, do you realize how really powerful that truly is? Joy is resting in the knowledge that no matter the circumstances, you’re gonna be alright. You have the strength to face anything. ANYTHING. You not only face it, but you also conquer it with a peace that we can’t even understand. This kind of joy and peace comes from knowing Jesus and believing all He has taught us.

Today's verse is Jesus speaking His peace over the trials and sorrows that come our way. Those things are bound to happen, but we can have peace and joy in the middle of it all. Jesus overcame the world and all the junk that we could ever face. We have that same spirit that overcame the world living in us.

Going through really hard things doesn’t make us “happy”, but we should never give them permission to rob us of our peace.

Remember that the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy us by any means possible. We have to remember that he’s a liar and the “truth is not in him”. When he says in your mind, “things will never be right” …don’t believe him. Stealing your joy/peace is at the top of his “to-do” list. If we allow him to make us feel defeated and hopeless…he’s all in.

Joy is your “superpower” that comes from within and will turn the tables on the father of lies. The joy of the Lord is your strength!!
