What a blessing to help other people. There are so many ways that this can take place.
Those blessings could take the form of wisdom, time, money, a pot of soup, cards, a way to better themselves, a fun outing…the list goes on and on. What is so cool about this, is that no matter how you choose to bless others, it will come back to you. Not just a little bit, but so much so, it has to be shaken down to make room for more. How much “shaking down” depends on your generosity.
Let me give you an example that I read today in 2 Chronicles 9. The Queen of Sheba came to visit King Solomon to check out his wisdom. She brought 9,000 pounds of gold along with amazing spices and jewels as gifts to the King. Then it says in verse 12: “King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba whatever she asked for-gifts of greater value than the gifts she had given him. Then she and all her attendants returned to their own land.”
I would say she received a blessing far greater than she shared. She was generous in her gift and was not disappointed.
Don’t just sit in your home and say, “I’m sitting pretty, let my friends figure it out for themselves!” You are blessed to be a blessing. I’m ready for a “shake down”. How about you?
Luke 6:38 TLB
[38] For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use to give-large or small-will be used to measure what is given back to you." #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
