This (Little) Light of Mine

I’m gonna let it shine. I put parenthesis around little because there is really nothing little about light.
When light shines in darkness, people can actually see something. There are times though, when that light can be dim.
We probably have all sang that song as children (with the motions and all). I bet you are singing it your head right now. Also, we more than likely didn’t really catch the significance back then. (For some of us…WAY back then LOL)
Don’t allow your light to become so dim (like a flashlight with worn out batteries) that folks are still stumbling in the dark when they are around you. And why on earth would you try to hide your light from others? The song says, “hide it under a bushel”. No. Let them see who you are in Christ.
Satan will try with all his might to blow out that light. What a jerk!! Doesn’t he know by now that can never happen to those that know and are following Jesus (THE Light)? Sure, he does, but he’s still gonna try to make your life miserable. Always remember that what lives within you is greater than anything he could ever try.
Don’t grow weary in doing good and being good to yourself and others. If your light seems “little” or growing dim, change your batteries by talking to God, asking Him to open your eyes to ways to shine brighter.
Matthew 5:16 NASB95
[16] Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
