Think About It

So much bad stuff is blamed on God. We hear things like, “Well I guess it was God’s will to take my child in that accident!” (or in a flood or whatever may have happened) To use a term my daddy would have said “that’s a bunch of malarkey”. Our society has gone as far as to call huge weather events as “acts of God”. Too many are quick to blame their creator for things as an easy out. Many just don’t get it.

I’m not saying these things don’t happen. I’m just saying God didn’t “cause” them to teach us some sort of lesson. Hopefully we do learn some valuable things that make us better in the midst of them. We should quit blaming Him and learn from Him.

Evil is alive and well in this world seeking who it may devour. We need to fight against it and defeat it. One of the most important ways to defeat the devil is in your mind. Don’t allow his evil thoughts and contradictions to have a stronghold in this arena.

The chorus to a song that Bobby and I used to sing as a duet:

“Everything good, everything bright

Everything holy, everything right

Everything worthy, all that I should

And all is well, 'cause I'm gonna dwell on everything good”

Where does that good come from? God. He never changes. If He wanted good for you at creation, He wants it for you now. We are His most valuable and important of all He created. The good you see is from Him. Think on these things.

I realize it is tough to think “good” when you are in the middle of something horrible. Just know that trying to face it without God will result in more grief. As your strength depletes, you need His strength to carry you.

James 1:17-18 ERV

[17] Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same. [18] God decided to give us life through the true message he sent to us. He wanted us to be the most important of all that he created. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
