Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would not bow down to an idol even if it meant being thrown into a fiery furnace. Not just any furnace, but one that had been turned up a few notches. (Actually 7 notches). The fire was so hot that those tossing them in the fire were burned up! What an amazing example of living right and doing right!!

Can you imagine the craziness of this scene? These 3 became an example to everyone, including King Nebuchadnezzar. The one true God is with those who worship Him and only Him. God didn’t keep them out of the fire but walked through the fire with them. Actually, in a real sense, he did keep them out of the fire because they didn’t even have a hair on their head singed. His protection was there through it all.

The King, who WAS their enemy, became their biggest fan. If you are in the middle of negative circumstances, know that pleasing God in the middle of everything can make even your enemies sit up and take notice.

Daniel 3:28 NLT

[28] Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel to rescue his servants who trusted in him. They defied the king's command and were willing to die rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
