Tomorrow, we celebrate those guys in our lives that have taught us what it means to be a dad. What makes a dad a dad? It is a father who purposely takes the time to be involved in their child’s life.

If there has been a divorce and they cannot see their kiddos as often as they would like, they make sure that they’ll have lots of quality time. This would be times of warmth, compassion and doing things that build that relationship…making sure their children know without a shadow of a doubt that their dad believes in them.

I do realize there are some of you that don’t or didn’t have the best of “role-models” when it comes to a father or “dad”. You were fathered but never really had a dad to speak of. This verse today may seem weird to you. Just know that you are loved by your Heavenly Father, and you can seek out those in your life to look up to and emulate. If you didn’t have a good dad, you be the dad that yours wasn’t but wanted.

A loving “dad” is forgiving and kind. My dad was those things and more. Like my Heavenly Father, I could share my heart with him. He would listen without judgment and would give me his advice. I wish everyone could’ve known my dad and experienced the type of person referred to in today’s verse.

Psalm 103:13 ERV

[13] The LORD is as kind to his followers as a father is to his children. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
