The Lord is With Me-That's a Big Deal

I love the story of Joseph and how God provided for him through everything that came his way. I’m not implying that everything was great all the time. I’m saying that when the tough times did come, the Lord was with him, and that’s a “big deal”.

He was sold into slavery to Potiphar, who was an officer to King Pharaoh. While he was there, he succeeded in everything he did, because the Lord was with him. That was a big deal. Even when he was falsely accused of attacking Potiphar's wife and thrown into prison, the Lord was with him there. That was a big deal. While in prison he interpreted dreams and eventually was called to help Pharoah with his dream. And because of that encounter, he eventually became ruler of Egypt. That’s a big deal.

When you make the Lord God first place in your life, you will notice the change that takes place. The troubles still come, but those troubles don’t affect your God given abilities. Even those that are around you feel more secure in your presence. The warden had no worries when Joseph was there, because he knew the Lord was with him. That’s a big deal.

It is God who sustains us and protects us. Guess what? That’s a big deal right there!

Genesis 39:23 GW

[23] The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph's care because the LORD was with Joseph and made whatever he did successful.
