See What Is Right There

Today’s scripture doesn’t beat around the bush whatsoever! It plainly states to “do everything without complaining and arguing!” As I’ve heard it said, “what’s left out of everything?” Not too tough to answer. Nothing is left out.

This should cause all of us to take a step back and examine how we approach life. I have been out to dinner with folks that always find something wrong with their food. If it were just one time I wouldn’t think anything of it, but when it happens more than not, well…come on now. Then I began to notice that they would complain about a lot of things. They were just going to complain about any and everything. How miserable. Yet they don’t recognize the reason for the misery.

To say it bluntly, you get what you “dish out”. If you dish out ugly, that’s what comes back to you. If you are a bright light, others will want to be around you and share in that light.

God is always wanting to bless you. Oftentimes we miss those blessings right in front of our eyes because we are too busy looking for the cold food or whatever else we find to complain about.

The blessings are there. See what is right in front of your eyes!!

Philippians 2:14-15 NLT

[14] Do everything without complaining and arguing, [15] so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.
