The Grief is Real

Today’s devotional is to help me as much as it is to help any of you. I hope I never come across to anyone that “I have it all together”, because I don’t. I am still learning and trying to (with Gods help) get my act together each and every day. So, when something happens in my life that is heartbreaking, it causes self-reflection and anxiety just like everyone else, that I have to deal with.
There are so many lessons to learn as we age. When someone we are close to passes from this life, we grieve. The Bible doesn’t say we are NOT to grieve. On the contrary, it says, “And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.” Your grief is just different from those that do not have their hope in Jesus. But…the grief is real.
Right now, you may feel that stronghold of sadness. You may feel as if others are just going on with their lives while you are frozen in your memories of missing that person.
This is where today’s verse comes into play. We have to realize that the Lord heals our brokenhearted state. We can’t do it on our own. We must have the “strength and peace that passes all understanding” that comes from Him to carry us “through” this valley.
Psalm 147:3 NLT
[3] He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
