Remember that Folgers commercial byline? “Best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup”? They used that statement knowing that a good cup of coffee in the morning was important to a lot of people.

I’ll let you in on my secret weapon. When I first get up in the morning, I pour me a cup of Mountain Cabin coffee and wake up with Jesus. I talk to Him and He talks to me through the Bible. That time has become precious to me.

Most everyone knows how to get the coffee in the cup, but what about the time with Jesus?

We need to be spending time with Him thanking Him for everything. We don’t have to name them all out (unless you want to). We need to confess any wrongdoings and get that right. Spend some time praying for your day and how you can be a blessing. Pray for others. “Let your requests be made known…”

We should just be so thankful that He is GOOD, we stay in that state of thankfulness. What if He wasn’t good? What if we got what we deserve every day? What if we went to Him and asked for forgiveness and He said, “Not today, Paula, you are just too much for me to handle!” That would be a sad state of affairs.

I am so very thankful that His love endures forever. It is interesting that the word endure is used here. I think of it as “having to put up with something or someone.” We should really think of it as “remaining firm and unyielding even in tough times.” I’m thankful He loves me like that.

Psalm 118:29 NLT

[29] Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
