Staying At Peace

How your life goes each day can be determined by how well you “guard your peace”. The world around you can get so loud at times, it could be seen as impossible to drown out all the noise.
Staying at peace in your heart is where it all starts. That peace that comes from being content in all things … this a good place to start.
Notice what Paul says in Philippians 4:11-13 “Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
There will be those that don’t value your peace or contentment. They will try to make you sad or mad about something. Those news opinion blurbs can cause unnecessary drama in your thoughts. Keep in mind that everyone has an opinion, many are not grounded.
It is in those times that you guard your heart so that you can stay in peace. You’ve heard it said “turn a blind eye or a deaf ear” to things, this would be one of those times. Be smart in who you listen to and who needs that “deaf ear”. Don’t get involved in watching something that is coming from a depraved origin.
Ignore the negative and say to yourself, “peace be still”. Use your God given discernment to know who gets your ear or who is trying to hijack your peace. Your peace is not up for grabs … remember that.
Proverbs 4:20,23 NLT
My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. [23] Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
