Standard of Truth and Excellence

No matter what you see others do or don’t do should not deter you from doing what you know is right and true. We have a great example in Daniel of how to be honest with those (even in high places). Sometimes the news he had to deliver to the kings of his day was not good news, yet he did it anyway.
The thing is, Daniel was confident in the God he served. His friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had survived the hot fires of the furnace because this God walked with them through it. Daniel had the ability from God to interpret difficult things for kings. And due to his “standard of being honest” he continued to be rewarded with high positions.
So often we think everything should just fall into our laps. There are times when unexpected things take place. But, for the most part, YOU have to DO SOMETHING.
Just as Daniel had to take the sometimes-difficult steps to tell some uncomfortable truths to the Kings of his day, we have to take action. We must make the effort to do the difficult things and prove (to ourselves and others) we are capable of doing them.
You want more? Do more. Excel by doing. Be confident in God. He’s awesome and mighty in power.
Daniel 6:3 NLT
Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers. Because of Daniel's great ability, the king made plans to place him over the entire empire. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
