“A thing of beauty is a joy forever" is a quote used when seeing something in nature that is so beautiful, it makes an impression in your mind. You can recall that scene over and over in your mind and it brings joy…like seeing the ocean and hearing the waves. When you think of it, you can even hear the waves splashing against the shore in your memory.

When it comes to the beauty of an individual, we have put too many variables on this type of beauty. Who came up with “you should have makeup on” before going out the door? I get aggravated every time I do it but do it anyway. We women say, “I don’t wanna be caught without my makeup on!” Goodness! We are more than makeup, right?

Ecclesiastes says that God has made EVERYTHING beautiful. There is nothing left out of that word. No makeup mentioned ha-ha. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not against makeup; just wish it hadn’t become so necessary.

Then there are those of us that have experienced brokenness that we feel as though, has stolen that beauty we once had. This is where you must listen to how much God loves you. He wants to take that brokenness and turn the ashes of your life into a beautiful story of redemption, strength and yes, beauty.

“Something beautiful, something good

All my confusion He understood

All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife

But he made something beautiful of my life” (Bill Gaither)

Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT

[11] Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
