I can remember my mom encouraging me to always be on my best behavior because there would always be someone watching me that needed a good example to follow. (She may not have said it just like that, but I caught her drift. Haha).

In thinking about the context of my devotional today, these two precious pictures of Brandon Andrews with his Pawpaw came to mind. They had such a sweet relationship and what a wonderful person for my boy to emulate.

Another photo that came to mind, was of another little guy, Will Maupin, imitating his daddy. How cute is that?

We are to follow God as we live out our lives. As we do that we should imitate (do what He does) His actions. We are His kids and should act like it. It may take some “acting” until we get it. For instance, showing love to someone who’s not very loveable.

Do you remember, WWJD from a several years ago? For you young timers…that stood for “What would Jesus do?” It was found on bracelets to coffee cups and served as a reminder to be imitators of Jesus. It was great.

You never know who has decided to follow your lead and watch everything you are doing. If you are imitating God, then let ‘em watch!! If you aren’t or haven’t been, then get started today and be the best example possible.

Ephesians 5:1 NLT

[1] Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
