What is it that makes one person a “go-getter” and another person a “lazy bum”? Well maybe not exactly a bum, LOL but they never seem to finish what they start.
Somewhere along the way the unsuccessful folks never learned how to stay focused and persistent until their goals were reached.
They began to see their dreams as unattainable, and decided, “Oh well, guess I’ll just go ahead and live my life in the basement watching others live their (unrealistic/fantasy life) on t.v.” They allowed the rock that they used to stand on to become mossy and slippery (from the world’s influence) to the point of giving up.
In contrast, you see those that are accomplished in their field as having been persistent until their goals were reached. It could’ve been out of necessity or a dream that they stayed with until completion. Either way, they understood the importance of being rock solid versus trying to hold tight on a slippery slope or a mossy rock.
There will always be disappointments as you take on life every day. Let me encourage you to stand on the solid rock of the Lord. Be steadfast in all you do for Him. He assures you that your work does not go unnoticed. He wants to bless you in all you do.
There is not even a chance of success if you quit.
1 Corinthians 15:58 NASB95
[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
