Power of Perspective

How you think about yourself and the world where you live is key to the perspective you develop. I want to give you a couple of examples from the Bible.

First … Mary Magdalene. Before she was a devoted follower of Jesus and the first to see Him after His resurrection, she was living a demon possessed life. When she had an encounter with Jesus, it changed her and gave her a desire to be like Him … a perspective change.

Second … Paul (formerly Saul of Tarsus). Before he helped establish churches and became the “go-to” person for them … he had been the cruelest of the cruel in persecuting these same types of people. His encounter with Jesus was an amazing transformation in perspective.

The common factor in these two attitude examples is Jesus. He made the difference. Mary Magdalene and Paul wanted the same attitude as their Savior. They had deep reverence and showed it through obedience and love for Him. These things changed the trajectory of their lives.

Philippians 2:5,12-13 NLT

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. [12] Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. [13] For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
