Peaceful Lives

When I think about how much Jesus loves me, it makes me so thankful. These words from a chorus keep coming to mind today.

“When I Think about the Lord

How He picked me up and turned me around

How He set my feet on solid ground…”

How many of you know that if it weren’t for Jesus, you’d still be wallowing around in sinful ignorance and contempt for your life? You would be unable to have peace that comes from knowing His love and grace in your life.

It is one thing to have the things you need in this life, but to have it with that peaceful contentment that comes from knowing who has your future is another. You could have all the riches this world has to offer and still live a miserable life without peace.

Peace comes from knowing Jesus and following His Word. Today’s scripture is relaying the message that while we are awaiting His return, we should do all we can to live peaceful lives that are pure and blameless. Don’t get caught up in anything that could put you in a bad position.

Keep those “lamps trimmed and ready”. Stay thankful and aware of how much Jesus loves you and live a peaceful life.

2 Peter 3:14 NLT

[14] And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
