Peace of Mind

It seems as though peace of mind can be a fleeting thing. It doesn’t have to be that way. The scriptures have been given to us to give us the way to peace of heart and mind. Even when a problem seems impossible to conquer, God is there to make a way where there seems to be no way.

Today’s verse lets us know that we are not immune to trials and sorrows. They will come our way. The difference for those who trust in an overcoming Jesus, is that word “overcoming”. Because He has overcome the world, we too can overcome those trials … big or small.

These words by Anne Wilson say it well…

“Are you past the point of weary?

Is your burden weighing heavy?

Is it all too much to carry?

He makes a way where there ain't no way

Rises up from an empty grave

Ain't no sinner that He can't save

Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus”

He’s an overcomer and so are you. Let that give you peace of heart and mind.

John 16:33 TLB

[33] I have told you all this so that you will have peace of heart and mind. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows; but cheer up, for I have overcome the world." #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
