Only Living for the Moment

Being “present in the moment” is different than just “living for the moment”. Too many of us get that mixed up. We do want to tune out outside forces trying to steal our attention when we are involved in something important in our lives. We want to be present full stop. These moments can be missed by allowing distractions like social media to root its way into that time. So “be present” with family, friends and other important people.
Now when we think of “living for the moment”, we are in a different category altogether. Far too many people are focused on living it up in the moment without any thought given to their future. This is a mistake we should never make. Missing out on opportunities now and in the future would be so sad.
I look back on my life and have some regrets about not stepping it up a bit back then. I could be in a much better place today if I had. I can’t beat myself up about that, well I could, but what good does that do? I just have to resolve and encourage others to resolve to do better for myself and those I care about now and in the future.
Don’t get tired of doing good for people. You will reap a harvest of good.
Galatians 6:8-9 NLT
[8] Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. [9] So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
