Oh, the Lies

There was a song by The Eagles years ago that talked about lying eyes…” You can't hide your lyin' eyes. And your smile is a thin disguise. I thought by now you'd realize, there ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes.” The thing is, we now have social media and lying eyes can be hidden behind the screen. People are able to say whatever their little heart desires and get away with it for the most part. Or so it seems.
When you are on the receiving end of those straight up lies, your gut reaction is to fight back because what was said was hurtful and you felt attacked.
I want to encourage you today to learn to “let it roll”. What they say is a reflection of their character not you. You know who you are and your intentions as you live your life. Did you catch that? It’s your life. Not the one who is making the cutting remarks. Those type of people in a lot of cases have no life or at least don’t have one that reflects goodness.
I want to always be on the side of truth and kindness. Verse 22 shows the other side…the Lord DETESTS lying lips. Bam!
Proverbs 12:18,22 NLT
[18] Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing. [22] The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
