Not Who They Once Were

It is so difficult for some to accept when someone has gone through a change in their lives. They still see them as who they were from the past. Because of this, they turn a deaf ear to anything they have to say. They will, in some cases, gang up against you to try to make themselves look better than you. They become in a word, pious. They would never see themselves in that light because, well, they are pious.
I want to help those of you that have never had to go through what some have had to endure. They are now on the other side of the stuff that got them where they are and want nothing more than to love God and others. Give them grace as they are starting a new and better chapter of their life.
Maybe you have not had the best of experiences in your own life either, and think because you handled it one way, everyone should handle it the same. Due to the fact we are all truly different, the way we deal with things are not always the same. Let me encourage you to learn to be more understanding to those that have faced their demons a little differently than you.
Remember what happened to Jesus at one point in His ministry?
There were those that just couldn’t get past the fact that He was a carpenter's son and from Nazareth. They just couldn’t believe someone “like him” could do what he was doing and saying. It didn’t matter, what they “thought”. Their thinking didn’t change anything about Jesus.
It mattered that Jesus was who he said he was and spent his entire earthly ministry healing, feeding, comforting, and loving those that came to him. All I can say is, the ones who were in a constant state of questioning - missed it. They missed the opportunity to be a part of Him and His life.
Don’t miss being a part of someone’s life simply because of the fact they are not who you remember. You know what? They could actually be so much better, and you are missing out on something you really need. And, as today’s verse in the TPT version says, “never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth “.
Ephesians 4:29 TPT
[29] And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
