No Regrets

There are things in life we never experience because we are too afraid to take that first step. Many times, we look back and regret the “not trying part”. Then we are forced to live with the “if onlys” that follow.
I mentioned in a previous devotion that one of the things my sister, Linda, said to me at one point in her life was that she wanted to live her life with “no regrets" I heard her say that, and yet the enormity of those words didn’t sink in until after she was gone.
Those words have driven me to be more present with my other siblings. I will never regret spending those FaceTime calls with Jimmy and Sondra, even if there was not much to talk about. It has made me more aware of trying to connect more frequently with all those I love, especially those grown boys of mine and their sweet families.
It’s in the “trying” y’all. Don’t regret “not trying “. I know silly ole Yoda said, "Do or do not. There is no try". I say if you never try, you will never do.
Live with no regrets.
Matthew 14:28-29 NLT
[28] Then Peter called to him, "Lord, if it's really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water." [29] "Yes, come," Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.
